Many wineries are along this path, and all offer tastings and tours. The world’s only corncob-pipe plant is 4 miles south of Dutzow, in the town of Washington. The town also has shops, restaurants, and Bed and Breakfasts. West of Dutzow you will find the Daniel Boone Grave and Monument. Three miles beyond Treloar is the St. Johns of Pinckney United Church of Christ and cemetery. Traverse the Missouri River into the town of Hermann. German immigrants, who wanted to preserve their heritage and language, founded the town in 1837. Hermann is full of German architecture, museums, Bed and Breakfasts, and wineries. The Hermannh and Stone Hill of wineries date back to the mid-1800s. The Historic Hermann Museum features winemaking, area shipbuilding, and early furniture.
